  • Virtual Education Budget Teach-In – TONIGHT 2/5 at 6:30pm on Zoom

    February 5, 2025

    The Coalition for Equitable Education Funding is hosting a remote teach-in this evening from 6:30-7:30 PM on Zoom. Tonight’s teach-in will cover:

    • The City Budget: learn which education programs are safe for another year and which are in danger of being rolled back or eliminated.
    • The State Budget: learn what Foundation Aid is, why state leaders are examining the formula behind it for the first time in 17 years, and how the Governor’s proposed changes to that formula will impact our schools.Spanish interpretation will be available.     Please note: This training will primarily cover NYC Public School programs, but it will be a good overview for attendees on the potential impact of proposed city and state budgets on students with disabilities.
